Identity

Founded in 1749, Justerini & Brooks is the oldest continuously operating Wine & Spirits merchant in the UK. The owners, Diageo, asked us to help create a compelling and desirable brand world that built on the brand roots and layered in a sense of modern luxury.

The new identity was created from a simple colour palette: black, white, copper, warm grey and tan leather. We added to the typography with a juxtaposing modern type face. We refined the logo to give a more contemporary feel and used the royal warrant more sparingly where appropriate. Based on the new brand positioning, 'Life’s finest pleasures are developed over time but enjoyed in the moment. We believe in opening the bottle', we have helped reframe the fine wine and rare spirits business including; a complete digital transformation, creating a more contemporary and relevant identity - and then bringing it to life at every brand touch point - including advertising, visual merchandising and social. The remit also extended to designing a new club for private clients in St James's and a luxury sales and experiential space at No.41 Burlington Arcade.
