‘Belstaff X McClaren.’ A high-profile campaign featuring a collaboration between Belstaff and the McLaren Racing Team. The Belstaff capsule collection was photographed and filmed by Takahiko Takemoto.
Shot by Takahiko Takemoto, the campaign showcases Belstaff’s racing apparel against the silhouette of a black McLaren Spider. Takahiko Takemoto’s award-winning photographs bring a brooding, Samurai feel to the campaign. It depicts the Belstaff motoring collection against the simmering power of the McLaren engine and the dark, nocturnal backdrop sliced with flashes of white and orange. Art directed by Crispin Jameson and styled by Victoria Bain, the campaign was recognised for breaking new aesthetic ground. It brought together two heritage brands in an original and dramatic way, enhancing the power of both.
